Bicycle Cove Tour Challenge: 100 Miles (or More) During the Tour

Bicycle Cove is jumping into the fun of the annual Tour de France with its own fun Tour Challenge during the three-week race.

Tour pros have to complete 2,170 miles on 21 stages from June 29-July 21 through familiar European cities: Florence, Turin, Orléans, Agen, Monaco and Nice among others. They’ll climb mountains, speed down others, and spin through bucolic countrysides. Due to the Olympic Games in Paris, this year’s Tour de France will finish in Nice. It’s the first time in the Tour’s history it won’t finish on the famed Avenue des Champs-Élysées.

Bicycle Cove’s fun Tour Challenge doesn’t have as many miles. But you still can have a fun workout over the course of the race and earn a cool t-shirt. Or, ride 300 miles for a chance to win one of three Trek Ion 200 + Flare RT light sets. Anyone who rides 600 or more miles will be eligible for a drawing to win a complimentary Best Tune (parts not included).

When can you ride? Anytime during the June 29-July 21 window. Ride at night. Ride in the morning or daytime. If you ride at night, be sure to use lights (safety first!), tell someone where you’ll be, and be aware.
