Sawyer Unveils New SP120 Mini Water Filter

Sawyer has a new compact SP120 Mini water filter, a streamlined version of its best-selling Mini water filtration system.

Released in advance of September’s National Preparedness Month, the unit is priced at $16.99. This compact filter is capable of filtering up to 100,000 gallons of water. The SP120 is easy to maintain with the included cleaning plunger. It can be used directly at any water source or attached to a standard 28 mm disposable bottle or hydration pack.

Much like backup batteries, a compact water filter like Sawyer’s SP120 is an essential addition to any home emergency kit, go-bag or bug-out bag. Available through Amazon and Walmart.com, the SP120 Mini is designed for convenience and reliability.

It removes 99.99999% of bacteria, such as salmonella, as well as other harmful bacteria that cause cholera and E. coli. It also removes 99.9999% of protozoa such as giardia and cryptosporidium. The unit houses an award-winning cluster of micro-fibrous tubes, similar to technology found in medical dialysis. Sawyer’s removal rates exceed any other filter options on the market and EPA guidelines. It also removes 100% of microplastics.

Weighing only two ounces and easily fitting into the palm of your hand, the SP120 Mini water filter is designed to be prepared for the unexpected. It is the only filter of its kind that can be easily restored to its initial flow through backwashing in heavy-use scenarios with an included cleaning plunger. The small size allows it to be seamlessly integrated into any home kit, glove compartment, or backpack and ensures long-term security and peace of mind.
