Alan Clemons – TVO Co-Founder
Alan Clemons is an award-winning professional with four decades of writing, editing and photography experience for newspapers, magazines, online outlets and public relations agencies. A native and resident of Alabama, he began his career in 1984 at his hometown weekly newspaper while still a senior in high school. Since then he has written about the outdoors, sports, news, food, travel and more for Huntsville News, The Huntsville Times, Phoenix Gazette, The Birmingham News, Thicket, Birmingham Magazine, Lone Star Outdoor News, Deer & Deer Hunting, Modern Hunter, Hunting Retailer, Tactical Retailer, Shooting Sports Retailer, Archery Business, Bait & Tackle Business, Predator Xtreme, Bowhunting, Game & Fish, Golf Sport, ESPN Outdoors, Outdoor Life, Field & Stream, Bassmaster, FLW Outdoors, Cabela’s Outfitter Journal, CatfishNow, CrappieNow, Bill Dance Fishing, Mid-South Hunting & Fishing News, Great Days Outdoors, Alabama Outdoor News, SpyPoint, Moultrie Mobile, Angler’s Channel, Wired2Fish.com and others.
Clemons is a two-time president of the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association, and a member of the Great Lakes Outdoor Writers Association and Alabama Sports Writer’s Association. He is married with two grown children and enjoys travel, trail running, reading, good beer and art.
J. Chadwick “Chad” Gay – TVO Co-Founder
Chad Gay’s 26-year career began as an outdoor writer for a daily newspaper. He has been published in numerous newspapers, magazines and online outlets. He then made a career change to public relations, as director of Public Relations for FLW Outdoors. His award-winning writing and photography have resulted in more than 1,000 published bylines.
Gay is a past member of the Texas Outdoor Writer’s Association Board of Directors and a past member of numerous outdoor writer organizations. His passion is fly fishing, but he also enjoys mountain biking and aspires to finish a triathlon. He is married with one daughter and would love to be better at bass guitar.
