Alan Clemons – TVO Co-Founder

Alan Clemons is an award-winning professional with more than 40 years of writing, editing and photography experience for newspapers, magazines, online outlets and others. A native and resident of Alabama, he began his career in 1984 at the Hartselle Enquirer while still a senior in high school. Since then he has created award-winning stories about the outdoors, sports, news, food, travel and more for dozens of outlets.

Clemons is a two-time president of the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association, and a member of the Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers, Hoosier Outdoor Writers and Alabama Sports Writer’s Association. He is married with two grown children, two grandchildren, and enjoys travel, trail running, reading, good beer and art.

J. Chadwick “Chad” Gay – TVO Co-Founder

Chad Gay’s 26-year career began as an outdoor writer for a daily newspaper. He has been published in numerous newspapers, magazines and online outlets. He then made a career change to public relations, as director of Public Relations for FLW Outdoors. His award-winning writing and photography have resulted in more than 1,000 published bylines.

Gay is a past member of the Texas Outdoor Writer’s Association Board of Directors and a past member of numerous outdoor writer organizations. His passion is fly fishing, but he also enjoys mountain biking and aspires to finish a triathlon. He is married with one daughter and would love to be better at bass guitar.
