Altra Torin 7 updates range from a stack height increase to a completely redesigned tongue, heel collar and mesh upper on the company’s best-selling road shoe.
The Torin is a longtime member of Altra’s collection. Created as a neutral road shoe with comfort and distance in mind, the shoe is built for any and all runs. The best-selling Torin 7 redesign started with an increased stack height of 2 mm. The added Altra EGO MAX midsole foam drastically improved the underfoot cushion and responsiveness of the shoe.
Additionally, a redesigned tongue and molded heel collar allows for a custom fit and locked in feel, while still providing space in the toe box for natural foot positioning. The engineered mesh upper for comfort and breathability were the final touches to make this neutral road runner the ideal runner for summer – and beyond.
“Altra set out to redesign the Torin 7 based on both consumer and Altra athlete feedback on the Torin 6. With extensive testing and road time, we think the newest edition is the best one yet,” said Alex Lind, Senior Product Line Manager. “The Torin 7 is a shoe built to go the extra mile and work with the runner for a more efficient, responsive and better run overall – no matter the distance.”
Torin 7 is designed with Altra’s Standard FootShape Fit, which gives feet more space to sit naturally. It also addresses biological differences in men’s and women’s feet. Torin 7 is just one of several Altra road shoes.
Torin 7 is available for purchase at www.altrarunning.com and select retailers. The shoe retails for $150, with five colorways for men and women.
