Daniel Sillivant and Angel Mobley cruised to wins in the Bridge Street Half-Marathon Presented by SportsMed on April 7 in Huntsville.
Sillivant, 37, of Huntsville, won handily by more than two minutes with a time of 1:16:13. Mark Porter, 20, was second in 1:18:35.
Mobley, 28, finished 9th overall in 1:23:59 for the women’s title. She clipped Emma Hardman, who was 10th in 1:24:35.
The event had 913 finishers. It is held each spring at Bridge Street Towne Centre, routed through Cumings Research Park on a flat, fast course. Along with SportsMed, the event was sponsored by US Army, Burn Boot Camp, Marco’s Pizza, Panera Bread, Coca-Cola, Fresh Market, Club Pilates, Fleet Feet Huntsville & Madison, and RunningLane.

Wood Nabs Bridge Street 5K
Logan Wood edged Jude Seibert by a nose to win the 5K title.
Wood, 8, of Hazel Green, won in 19:21:39. Seibert, 17, finished in 19:21:61. Wood has had a big year, finishing third in the River City Run 5K and setting records in the Winter Winds events in February.
Gabriela Martines won the women’s title, finishing ninth in 23:20. Whitney Hollingsworth was second (12th) in 23:52.
