Daniel Sillivant and Angel Mobley cruised to wins in the Bridge Street Half-Marathon Presented by SportsMed on April 7 in Huntsville.
Sillivant, 37, of Huntsville, won handily by more than two minutes with a time of 1:16:13. Mark Porter, 20, was second in 1:18:35.
Mobley, 28, finished 9th overall in 1:23:59 for the women’s title. She clipped Emma Hardman, who was 10th in 1:24:35.
The event had 913 finishers. It is held each spring at Bridge Street Towne Centre, routed through Cumings Research Park on a flat, fast course. Runners start and finish at Bridge Street. Along with SportsMed, the event was sponsored by US Army, Burn Boot Camp, Marco’s Pizza, Panera Bread, Coca-Cola, Fresh Market, Club Pilates, Fleet Feet Huntsville & Madison, and RunningLane.

Wood Nabs 5K Title
Logan Wood edged Jude Seibert by a nose to win the Bridge Street 5K title on April 6 at Bridge Street Towne Centre.
Wood, 8, of Hazel Green, won in 19:21:39. Seibert, 17, finished in 19:21:61. Wood has had a big year, finishing third in the River City Run 5K and setting records in the Winter Winds events in February.
Gabriela Martines won the women’s Bridge Street 5K title, finishing ninth in 23:20. Whitney Hollingsworth was second (12th) in 23:52.
