CamelBak has several new and redesigned members in its legacy line of M.U.L.E. hydration packs as part of its 2023 collection including the M.U.L.E. 5 Waist Pack and Mini M.U.L.E hydration pack.
These two packs round out the M.U.L.E. collection with sustainably made models for adults and young riders alike.

The original M.U.L.E. hydration pack was introduced in 1996. It quickly became a staple among the mountain bike community. Since then, the pack has evolved into a family of bags built to meet the demands of mountain bike progression. It has remained one of CamelBak’s top-selling collections. M.U.L.E. 5 Waist Pack
As the first hip pack to join the M.U.L.E. family, the new M.U.L.E. 5 Waist Pack (MSRP $90) provides riders with a streamlined way to carry all the essentials and stay hydrated on all-day cycling adventures. Staying true to the capabilities that M.U.L.E. hydration packs are known for, this pack is loaded with smart features that allow you to hit the trail confidently.
Designed to carry 1.5 liters of water and everything needed for a full day on the trail, the M.U.L.E. 5 Waist Pack features a comfortable Air Support Back Panel for maximum ventilation. It is paired with a Crux lumbar reservoir with a magnetic Tube Trap for easy hydration on the go. Bringing along ride essentials is made simple with a large main compartment with integrated tool storage, storage pockets on the hip belt, a bungee overflow system for an extra layer, and two stretch pockets on the sides. These let the user opt for bottles or the reservoir for varied hydration needs. When less is needed, cargo compression straps help cinch the pack to keep contents secure and close to the body.
Constructed of durable materials, the M.U.L.E. 5 is built for rugged environments, season after season. Returning with a fresh redesign, the Mini M.U.L.E. (MSRP $60) is the perfect small hydration pack for kids and compact-framed people who want a minimal ride pack. This durable and sustainably built pack offers just enough space to bring along everything needed for a great ride, without any unnecessary weight.
Available in 10 fun and energetic colors, the Mini M.U.L.E. can haul up to 1.5 liters of water for ample hydration. A main zippered compartment holds larger gear, while a smaller zippered pocket with a mesh interior pocket helps keep little essentials organized. An added stretch overflow pocket is perfect for shedding a spare layer when things warm up.
Built to be tough and durable to withstand the rigors of a kid’s adventures, this compact hydration pack is constructed with recycled 200D poly fabric. It easily sheds stains and holds up to rocks and dirt with ease. To keep riders cool while on the move, breathable air mesh was utilized in the back panel and shoulder strap harness. For added safety, CamelBak incorporated reflectivity for low light conditions. A whistle in the sternum strap can signal for help or alert someone on the trail ahead.
