Adan Rodriquez claimed the 56th Chattanooga Chase 8K title on Memorial Day in a speedy time of 26:04, winning by almost 20 seconds.
Almost 830 runners competed in the oldest competitive road event in the Scenic City. The field wound through the historic Riverview Neighborhood on the North Shore. Net proceeds benefit the non-profit Chattanooga Track Club. Proceeds from the 1-mile run support the Siskin Children’s Institute, which provides support for children with special needs and their families.
Brandon Huggins (26:21) was second and Ed Kaczinski (26:29) was third.
Martha Clemmer, 67, was the women’s champ in 31:03. She finished 37th overall. Rachel Mason was second (41st) in 31:32, and Lea Mulligan was third (48th) in 31:50.
