Daniel Sillivant of Huntsville paced area finishers with a 2:36:01 finish Saturday in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
Sillivant hit the halfway point in 1:15:49 and finished 435th overall. Other top area men included Scotty Aycock of Florence with a 3:07:29 and Adam Panagos of Madison with a 3:09:20.
Jamie Holt of Huntsville led the area women with a 3:17:42. Angela Lopez of Harvest posted a 3:19:33.
Ryan Ford, winner of the 2025 Cotton Row 10K and a Westminster Christian Academy grad, finished 15th overall with a 2:09:37. That was third-best among U.S. men in the field. Connor Maintz was fourth overall in 2:04:43, an American record time, and Wesley Kiptoo was 14th in 2:09:02.
Ford recently signed a new deal with the On Athletics global team and now lives in Colorado. He posted a 2:08 and 10th-place finish this year at the Boston Marathon.
