The Fleet Feet Monte Sano 15K greeted runners with chilly temperatures Saturday morning and five Alabama state records fell at the annual race held in Huntsville.
Josh Whitehead captured top honors, finishing in a state record-breaking time of 49:24, more than two minutes faster than the old mark. Daniel Sillivant was second in 55:06, and Alex Shah was third in 55:34.
Kelsey Hodges was the overall female winner (12th overall) in 1:03:35. Malia Gill was second (14th) in 1:06:03, and Clarissa Hell was third (18th) in 107:53.
