Fleet Feet of Huntsville is a finalist in the “Retailer of the Year” category for the 2024 Small Business Awards given by the Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce.
Award winners in 15 categories will be announced Sept. 12 during ceremonies at the VBC Saturn Ballroom. Additionally, more than 40 individuals are finalists to be recognized as the Russell G. Brown Executive Leadership, Small Business Champion of the Year, Young Professional of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year.
Fleet Feet of Huntsville is owned by Suzanne Swift, who also has a location in Madison. The teams at the stores are instrumental in myriad facets of the local community, from timing and sponsoring races to group and individual coaching. Fleet Feet of Huntsville/Madison was named one of the nation’s top running stores in 2023 and 2021.
Fleet Feet of Huntsville celebrated its 20th anniversary in January 2024. The stores have more than 60 employees. The Madison store opened in 2020 amid the Covid crisis yet has thrived with the city’s growth.
The Small Business Awards black-tie gala attracts more than 1,000 members of the business community to celebrate leading small businesses, entrepreneurs, young professionals and nonprofits.
