Garmin has changed the way cyclists train indoors with the introduction of Tacx NEO Motion Plates.
The plates enhance the stationary trainer experience by providing multidirectional movement. Tacx NEO Motion Plates magnetically attach to the underside of the Tacx NEO, NEO 2 and NEO 2T smart trainers. They add front-to-back movement to the standard left-to-right motion of a stationary trainer. Cyclists can adopt a natural riding position and train more effectively.
“Cyclists are always looking for ways to make indoor training more productive and enjoyable,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of global consumer sales. “By adding multidirectional movement to the Tacx NEO smart trainers, the Tacx NEO Motion Plates make for one of the most dynamic and natural indoor riding experiences yet.”
Compact and Quiet
The plates maintain the compact footprint and quiet performance Tacx NEO smart trainers are known for.
“Using the new Tacx NEO Motion Plates and my Tacx NEO 2T, I have the best of both worlds – a portable smart trainer that doesn’t require external electricity, and small, user-friendly motion plates that make long trainer rides significantly more comfortable and realistic,” said Hannah Shell, a Garmin professional cyclist.
“With the Tacx NEO Motion Plates, my handlebars move naturally, absorbing some of the “push” from my upper body that normally would land on hard carbon. It’s an absolute game-changer for indoor riding.”
Indoor trainers are fantastic ways to stay fit. Whether it’s during intense cold or hot conditions, or for other reasons, the trainers offer myriad benefits. Cyclists can shop from a wide range of products to fit almost any home setting. Technology has improved greatly, too, with more options during the user experience.
The Tacx NEO Motion Plates (MSRP $299.99) are available now on garmin.com.
