The Go Nuts Bike Racing autumn Enduro season kicks off Sunday with the Gettin’ Squirrelly enduro opener.
The event will be at Walden’s Ridge Park in Chattanooga, with an open preride on Saturday. It’s the first of the five-event autumn season that coincides with the XC season. Both end in early December with championships in northwest Georgia.
Registration for Sunday’s opening race is available only online, as it is for all races in the Enduro and XC series.
Raceday check-in opens at 8 a.m. Eastern, with the EMTB released at 8:45 a.m. Pro riders go at 9 a.m., Experts at 9:15 a.m. and Amateurs at 9:45 a.m. Awards begin at 3 p.m.
Riders must compete in all five events of the Fall Go Nuts Enduro Series to be eligible for the Nutcracker USAC Regional Championship. Along with this weekend’s opener in Chattanooga, the series is:
Sept. 15: Ride BHM in Birmingham
Oct. 6: Coldwater Mountain in Anniston
Oct. 20: Raccoon Mountain in Chattanooga
Nov. 10: Oak Mountain in Birmingham
Dec. 8: Regional Championship, Jarrod’s Place in Summerville, Ga.
Go Nuts had a successful event in June 2023 at Monte Sano State Park. The Go Nuts fall XC schedule coincides with the Enduro schedule.
For more all-day action, the Blood, Sweat & Nuts funfest is set for Nov. 23 at Chewacla State Park in Auburn. That’s the weekend of the Auburn-Texas A&M football game, so start scrambling now for hotel rooms, Air BnB or other lodging.
