We’ve compiled 5K running events from Knoxville to Paducah. A few others may be listed, as well. Please note the dates of the events, as some are on weeknights. Also, double-check with the event site for locations, times and changes.

Galaxy of Lights 5K
NOV. 28, in Huntsville — Galaxy of Lights 5K, at the Huntsville Botanical Garden winding through the lighted holiday displays. This event is on Monday, Nov. 27. The fields are limited for both waves. Much of the path is paved, but there are occasional sections of gravel path. Start times will be staggered in two waves. Bibs are chipped so runners must be in their assigned wave to be accurately timed. INFO HERE
Jingle Bell Square 5K
DEC. 2, in Scottsboro — The Jingle Bell Square 5K in Scottsboro takes runners from the historic courthouse square around through local neighborhoods and back to the square. Awards for top finishers. INFO HERE
Krampus Run 5K
DEC. 3, in Huntsville — Krampus Run 5K will start at the Hays Farm clubhouse and continue down Haysland Road before winding back through the Hays Farm greenway. INFO HERE
Yule up the Night 5K
DEC. 7, in Paducah, Ky. — Yule Light up the Night 5K and Kids K, held under the Christmas lights at Paducah’s Noble Park and sponsored by McCracken County Running Boosters Club. INFO HERE
Run Run Rudolph 5K
DEC. 8, in Tuscumbia — Run Run Rudolph 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run will be on Friday night, with the 5K at 6 p.m. Run Run Rudolph will be filled with the Christmas Experience at Spring Park with Colorful Water Displays and Musical Christmas Carols, along with the train and carousel for the kids. Runners will experience the beautiful Christmas lights and displays running through downtown Tuscumbia. Parking is limited in Spring Park due to the runners course; park up town and walk down. Frosty Freeze 5K
DEC. 9, in Decatur — The Frosty Freeze 5K and Jingle Bell Mile will support the Austin High School Cross-Country team. Run through parts of Old Decatur, decorated for the holidays, and end at the historic Old State Bank. INFO HERE
Reindeer Run 5K
DEC. 9, in Cleveland, Tenn. — The 12th annual Reindeer Run 5K benefits the American Cancer Society and starts at the Cleveland Greenway Park on Raider Drive. The day also includes an Adult 1-Mile Walk, Student K-12 5K run, and Student K-12 1-Mile Walk. INFO HERE
Rudolph Run 5K
DEC. 16, in Huntsville — Rudolph Run 5K, one of the most popular of the year starting in downtown Huntsville at Constitution Village. Runners make a fun route through parts of Old Huntsville and will see decorations along the way. The event benefits Blount Hospitality House. INFO HERE
Reindeer Dash 5K
DEC. 16, in Hazel Green — The 7th annual Reindeer Dash is hosted by, and will benefit, the Hazel Green High Cross-Country team. It includes a 5K run/walk and 1-mile run/walk. The race takes place on our home course, the Trojail Trail, at Hazel Green High School. The race starts and finishes in front of the Wooley Gym on the South side of the Hazel Green High School campus. Overall and age-group awards. INFO HERE
Rock’in Santa Half, 5K
DEC. 16, in Knoxville, Tenn. — Rock’in Santa Half Marathon and Sunshine Santa 5K, both with limited entry. Events benefit the Sunshine Ambassadors, enriching the lives of people with disabilities through dance. Christmas Rock-n-Roll music will abound from Victor Ashe Park and along the routes. INFO HERE
Frosty Football 5k
DEC. 16, in Paducah, Ky. — Frosty Football 5K, hosted by the Paducah Football Association. The Paducah Football Association is a 501c3. It was established to help ensure all children in our community have access to the necessary equipment and resources to safely enjoy the game of football. All proceeds from this event will benefit the area youth football programs. INFO HERE
Huntsville City FC 5K
DEC. 17, in Huntsville — Huntsville City FC Holiday 5K, starting at 4 p.m. at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium and finishing on the pitch. All participants get a Huntsville City FC scarf. INFO HERE
Jingle Bell Jog
DEC. 17, in Chattanooga — Jingle Bell Jog, in downtown Chattanooga. All participants will receive a Santa Suit costume pair of jingle bells to tie to your running shoes. The sights and sounds of running Santas will take over downtown Chattanooga. All finishers will be treated with a holiday-themed medal. INFO HERE
