Injinji Introduces New Toesock for Fall and Winter Running

Injinji has announced its new Snow Over The Calf — Snow OTC — for running in colder temperatures of autumn and winter.

This uniquely engineered toesock is for runners training in colder temperatures. It is an expansion of the Over The Calf line. Snow OTC is created to fit securely and protect the lower leg from the elements. It is built from nylon, sustainable moisture-wicking Thermolite EcoMade fibers and Lycra.

“Running in fall and winter is a magical time where nature is changing,” said Claire Kooperman, Director, Ecommerce and Operations. “It also is a pivotal time for runners to build their base, peak for race day and enjoy the outdoors. When looking at our OTC lineup, we wanted to create an essential gear piece that blends the functionality and support needed for runners putting in mileage with bold colors that make us feel confident and excited to get out the door and go.”

Snow OTC Design

Thermolite Far Infrared Technology embedded within the fibers aids in generating heat from infrared energy created naturally by the body. Hollow fibers create an insulating layer within the socks to keep feet and legs warmer than traditional socks. Runners may choose to wear the Snow OTC directly or as an additional protective layer over running tights. The latter helps keep warm and block against wind when putting in mileage on the roads, tracks and trails.

The Snow OTC stays true to the Injinji brand, innovators of the patented five-toe Performance Toesock. Its “Run” series features lightweight, thin socks that are great for warmer days. The new Snow OTC features classic Injinji characteristics such as blister prevention, a mesh top for breathability, arch support and moisture management, midweight cushion with padding supporting the underfoot, and a high-ribbed fit.

The Snow OTC retails for $28 and comes in unisex sizing. It is available in Shadow and Twilight.
