KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Runners from South Carolina, New York and Kentucky swept the top three positions in the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon on April 7.
Adam Chase of Greenville, S.C., won the marathon in 2:33:17 by more than a minute. Brian Morseman of New York was second in 2:34:36, and James Overholser of Kentucky was third in 2:43:15.
Peighton Meske of Knoxville won the women’s title and was fourth overall, in 2:44:39. She was the top regional finisher. Ryan Jandro of Lenoir City, Tenn., was the top regional men’s finisher, in sixth at 2:49:58.
Robert Tabor of Nashville claimed the Men’s Masters title, in 3:00:17. Kristina Murphy of Washington won the Women’s Masters title in 3:39:35.
Melissa Pipkin was the top finisher from Chattanooga, 98th in 3:41:38.
Claire Peter of Huntsville was the top finisher from the Rocket City, 236th in 4:05:30. Others from Huntsville were Kevin Lew (4:46:02) and David Siaw (6:07:56).
The Knoxville Marathon is the premier event of the Knoxville Track Club (KTC), a 501c(3) nonprofit. The event is produced by the KTC, with the help of the City of Knoxville, the University of Tennessee, and the title sponsor, Covenant Health. The Knoxville Track Club is among the top ten largest track and field clubs in the U.S.
