DECATUR — Stuart Lamp cruised to a comfortable win at the 15th annual Bill J. Dukes 7@7 race Saturday morning at Point Mallard Park.
Lamp, 42, of Decatur, sped through the 4.35-mile course and finished in 25:51 for the win. Andrew Ward, 14, of Decatur, was second in 28:36.
Sophie-Paige Lamp, 13, of Decatur, won the women’s division in 32:24. She was 11th overall. Kaylee Sharp, 27, of Huntsville, was second (19th) in 34:13.
Barbara Dunn, 61, of Decatur, won the Masters Women title. She finished in 40:46 and was 29th. Derek Taylor, 43, of Moulton, won the Masters Men division. He was third overall in 29:41.
The event was facilitated by the River City Runners of Decatur. The club’s next event is the twilight Swing Through 5K on Friday evening, Sept. 5, at Calhoun Community College in Tanner. Registration info can be found here in the TVO Calendar.
