New COROS Heart Rate Monitor Promises Precise Data, Pure Comfort

COROS Wearables Inc., makers of GPS sports wearables and training software for performance and adventure, has launched its new Heart Rate Monitor accessory.

The Heart Rate Monitor is an alternative to the traditional chest strap. A fully elasticated armband and sliding buckle allow for the perfect fit This gives it the ability improve a heart rate accuracy reading by removing interference from external light sources, as well as maximizing comfort and convenience for the user across any sport.

Designed for Accuracy, Built to Last

The Heart Rate Monitor uses COROS’ latest generation multi-channel optical sensor and has five LED lights with four photodetectors for maximum accuracy. Built-in wear detection allows the Heart Rate Monitor to automatically power on and off based on when it is worn. This enables the user to enter an activity seamlessly and broadcast heart rate to up to three other Bluetooth-enabled devices simultaneously. No buttons. No fuss.

With more power, longer life, and thought for the environment, the Heart Rate Monitor encompasses a built-in rechargeable battery. The battery boasts 38 hours of heart rate recording and 80 days in standby mode on just a single charge. A battery level indicator is visible directly in the COROS watch and app. A simple LED indicator on the device also indicates when it’s time to charge.

Easy to Wear

Simpler to wear than a chest strap, the soft fabric band of the Heart Rate Monitor lays flat around the user’s arm and locks in place with its textured grip. A low-profile design prevents snagging on clothes or gym equipment, giving the user peace of mind and the ability to focus on being the best.

The Coros Heart Rate Monitor is a Standalone Device

The Heart Rate Monitor is COROS’ first product to allow for full independent use with any third-party Bluetooth-supported device, such as GPS Watches, Indoor Bike Trainers, Cycle Computers, Zwift, Mobile Devices, and more. Data can also be stored on the Heart Rate Monitor for syncing later.

The COROS launched the Heart Rate Monitor Thursday at $79 MSRP via the COROS Website, Amazon, and authorized distributors and retailers.
