Pierce Races to Red Hot Win in Lobsterfest 5K

Nathaniel Pierce of Huntsville sped to the win Saturday morning in the annual Lobsterfest 5K on Aldridge Creek Greenway at St. Thomas Episcopal Church.

Pierce finished in 17:21 to nab top lobster honors. James Terwilliger of Huntsville was second in 18:09, and Elias Peebles of Toney was third in 19 minutes.

Rachel Sneed of Owens Cross Roads won the women’s title and was 10th overall. She finished in 22:17. Kortney Kuhl of Huntsville was second in 22:45, and Lauren Estes of. Cullman was third in 23:34.

All proceeds from the 5K and Lobsterfest benefit First Stop Inc. of Huntsville, Sloan Medical Clinic in Honduras and Patterson Place.

The event had 175 finishers.
