Pressio Launches 2023 Spring Collection on New U.S. Site

Pressio has launched its new U.S. e-commerce website and the direct availability of a new Spring/Summer 2023 collection.

The U.K.-based company announced its plan to enter the U.S. market last November. Its goal is to be the world’s most sustainable performance sportswear company. Pressio a technical apparel company committed to unparalleled performance and sustainable procurement.
“Just in time for the spring running season,” said Todd Schoelen, managing director for Pressio USA. “Everyone we talk to is so excited about Pressio, the quality, the performance and our mission to build next-level sustainable apparel.”

Last November at The Running Event in Texas, TVO had the chance to visit the Pressio booth and see the new lineup. Pressio was introduced in Europe by founder Jamie Hunt, a former triathlete with more than 20 years of textile engineering experience. Hunt founded another company, 2XU, in 2005 and then built and sold it in 2018.

Hunt founded Pressio after becoming frustrated with many of the apparel industry’s practices regarding sustainability during and after production. With Pressio, Hunt wants to new standards “that minimize, control and reduce the impacts” of the garments he engineers and brings to market.

“What makes Pressio so unique is our ability to create sustainable products without sacrificing technical performance,” Schoelen said. “The U.S. consumer is asking apparel brands for more transparency when it comes to sustainability and are diving into what it really means. They not only want recycled materials. They (also) are looking at the entire production process and a garment’s end-of-life impact on the planet. Pressio is addressing it all and delivering on its promise.”

The Elite Collection
Pressio’s Elite collection has what the company says is the world’s first Four Phase Moisture Management system. The apparel incorporates high-filament yarns with filament grading technology, seed-based bio-wick, and X section (Sorbtek) fibers from Unifi’s labs in the U.s. The result, Pressio says, is unparalleled performance. Fusion welding technology from Framis Italia provides low-profile bonded hems for a lightweight run top. The collection has certified recycled yarns and bluesign approved dyeing. MSRP is $65.

The Bio Collection
Pressio’s Bio collection is designed to help power you through your run by protecting your muscles from excessive oscillation. The line of shirts and tights has areas of graduated compression for enhanced post-exercise recovery. The Bio lineup also has been developed with thermoregulating technology 37.5 to combine natural active particles and enhanced biodegradation. Three rear pockets hold keys, ID or nutritional needs. MSRP is $115.
