CHATTANOOGA — Quintana Roo Bicycles has expanded its flagship V-PRi triathlon bike line with Extra-Small and Extra-Large options, offering all triathletes, regardless of stature, a frame that fits, handles and performs exactly as engineered.
This addresses a long-standing gap in the market for athletes at the extremes of the fit spectrum. That has often left the shortest and tallest competitors to make do with ill-fitting frames, aftermarket modifications, or unsafe weight distributions that compromise handling. Quintana Roo built the XS and XL frames to eliminate those workarounds. Quintana Roo athletes—specifically, 5-foot Australian pro Grace Thek and 6-foot-3 American Colin Szuch—as driving forces in fit and feedback during the development of the new bike sizing expansion.
With practical in-frame nutrition and fluid integration to class-leading aerodynamic advantage, the V-PRi has been carrying triathletes to fastest bike splits and victories at races around the world. Now, the advantage the V-PRi represents extends to athletes who previously had no access to a properly fitted machine.
“Size and adjustability have always been hallmarks of Quintana Roo bikes. The significance of having athletes validating the V-PRi has been crucial to the development of the new size options,” said Chris Pascarella, Quintana Roo President and CEO. “We’re excited for pros and age groupers—of all sizes—to have access to the most advanced bike in the sport.”
Quintana Roo’s flagship V-PRi triathlon bike was named Triathlete’s 2024 Tri Bike of the Year. It is the holder of the IRONMAN bike course record.
The V-PRi is available through quintanarootri.com and select QR retailers. Pricing starts at $13,699.
