Roll Recovery Launches New Superplush Recovery Footwear Line

Roll Recovery is introducing its new Superplush Recovery Footwear collection, a performance recovery shoe, slide and flip flop style in an array of colors.

The proprietary Superplush foam midsole is composed of algae and EVA with Bloom Foam Technology. This premium, sustainable foam reduces its carbon footprint and petroleum use, and is the foundation of the line. The midsole offers the optimal ratio of cushioning and support outside of active training.

Flip flops and slides are coming soon. The collection debuts with the Superplush Classic closed-toe shoe featuring Orthofit support for arch and midfoot comfort. Its upper consists of Roll Recovery’s proprietary Airyarn mesh made of recycled PET sourced from ocean plastics. This lightweight, high-stretch yarn offers optimal breathability and comfort. Each style is designed with sizing considerations for men and women to support the structural differences of the foot, weight distribution and required support.

Design Intent

The new footwear was designed and developed by Roll Recovery co-founder and engineer Jeremy Nelson. Similar to its existing products, Nelson’s focus for footwear was on quality, comfort, minimalist design and sustainability.

“The Superplush line was created to be a refuge for tired feet and promote overall foot health,” Nelson said. “We approach sports recovery from a holistic approach. We are thrilled to round out our product offerings with footwear that feels great, supports athlete recovery and has an aesthetic that looks great enough to wear every day,.

“We realized most footwear is designed for looks and not foot health … too tight and restricting with performance footwear. Too soft, squishy, and unsupportive with recovery footwear currently on the market. So, after performing extensive research and design the Superplush line was born.”

Roll Recovery footwear also features a Cradle Design Structured Footbed. It’s not too soft or too rockered, but just right. It also has an engineered footbed offering the optimal balance of comfort and structure. This ergonomic “cocoon effect” offers the sensation of a wearer’s foot inside of it and not simply standing on it.

Designed to Help

“As a professional marathoner, my feet and legs take a pounding,” said Roll Recovery co-founder Adriana Nelson. “While we focus so often on what shoes to run in, few consider what they wear to help promote recovery after long training sessions. In developing this collection, we were focused on offering footwear that is supremely comfortable and engineered in a way with structured support that reduces pressure on the feet.”
