STRAWBERRY PLAINS, Tenn. — Darren Driscoll was a second faster at the wire and claimed the Strawberry Plains Half Marathon on Saturday morning.
The field of 317 finishers found clear skies and chilly temperatures to start the race. Wesley Crane, 27, of Knoxville, was third in 1:14.
Mary Alex Gary, 34, of Knoxville, was the women’s champ and 12th overall in 1:21:11. Gary won the 2022 Rocket City Marathon women’s title last December. Elizabeth Herndon, 23, was right behind Gary for second (13th) in 1:21:23. Bekah White, 25, of Knoxville, was third (21st) in 1:24:45.
