Nominations are being accepted through March 21 for the Best Running Stores awards presented at The Running Event in November.
Nominations can be made for any running store in the country. You can submit a nomination here. The Running Event is an industry trade show held in Austin, Texas, the week after Thanksgiving.
“Every year, we see how important this program is not only to run specialty retailers, but to the entire industry,” said Christina Henderson, Event Director of The Running Event. “The positive impact these stores make go far beyond the world of run specialty. They deserve to be recognized and celebrated for the progress, innovation, and community they create.”
Customers, industry professionals, brands and store employees may submit nominations. Stores are selected regionally and announced in July. The Store of the Year award will be presented Nov. 21 at a reception at the show.
According to The Running Event, the Best Running Stores program “celebrates the stores leading by example in the run specialty industry—the retailers who continually show their commitment to their customers, employees, and community. Leaders among their peers, these stores are always striving to create a stronger industry.”
Fleet Feet Huntsville has been selected as a finalist 13 times in the last 15 years. Palmetto Running Company in South Carolina won the 2023 Store of the Year award.
