The Big Event is a 5K sponsored by Brooks Running and Fleet Feet as part of Global Running Day, to celebrate running and runners. More than 200 runners finished the event in Madison, which was rained out in 2021. Runners competed on the Bradford Creek Greenway in hot evening conditions.
Fleet Feet’s charitable arm, Do the Run Thing, has partnered with Girls on the Run and its SoleMates program to support more young people. SoulMates members raise money while completing critical challenges. Or, to also help, you could donate to your local Girls on the Run council.
