It’s been a great month in the area, with the holidays, Rocket City Marathon race weekend other events finding their spots in this week’s TVO Roundup.
Looking for something different next week? You can literally run into the new year at Fleet Feet with the timed Run into 2025 5k that starts at 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31. Very cool! I’d wager a nickel someone will pop a shot of Fireball at midnight, perhaps. Maybe. Possibly.
If that’s too late for you, head over to Artisan Twickenham Square Apartments at 9 a.m. on Jan. 1 for the Huntsville Pub Run No. 400. The crew will be toasting the new year with 3- and 5-mile routes for walking, jogging, strolling and running. If you’re a bit verklempt from the night before, perhaps a gentle saunter would be good.
Then, extend your fun in the afternoon with the Huntsville Track Club’s 1-, 2- and 4-mile concurrent fun runs at John Hunt Park. It’s free, but registration is required. Your football team didn’t make the playoffs so don’t worry about missing the big game. Bundle up to go stretch your legs. Check out all of the upcoming events here in the TVO Calendar.
