Hurricane 100K
Dana Overton of Brownsboro posted a Top 10 record finish in the Hurricane 100K in Hurricane, West Virginia.
Overton finished the course in 14:33:08, which is eighth-best on the event record list. The race was Sept. 9. Her finish was one of seven records set this year.
Christy Scott of Owens Cross Roads also competed, finishing in 18:22:57. Overton and Scott were the only competitors from Alabama.

Alabama Coastal Triathlon
Several TVO athletes competed in the Brett Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon in Gulf Shores on Sept. 9.
Chris Sucic of Huntsville, finished 74th in 2:46:51. Alex Tomlinson of Huntsville, was 85th in 2:50:45. Jimmy Scoggins of Huntsville was 134th in 3:06:32. Robert Barton was 142nd in 3:12:39. Rick Greif was 145th in 3:14:38. Greif is from Madison; the others are from Huntsville.

Blackwater Canyon Half
Lorna Hutcheson of Gurley completed the Blackwater Canyon Half Marathon on Sept. 9 in West Virginia.
Hutcheson finished in 2:57:32. Her husband, Harlan, finshed in 2:37.
