Two young runners put on a show at the Beachin’ 10K and 5k events in Gulf Shores, part of the RunningLane “We Run This Beach” weekend.
The 10K and 5k events, which had 68 and 219 runners, kicked off the weekend Saturday morning. A half-marathon and marathon on Sunday will wind through parts of Gulf Shores and around Lake Shelby in Gulf State Park.
Isabelle Allan, 13, of Huntsville, won the 10K title by almost six minutes. She finished in 44:19. John Ciliege, 48, was second in 49:54.

Hamilton Washo, 18, claimed the 5K title in 17:52. Megan Allan, 39, was right behind in 18:10.
