David Meadows of Birmingham won the Motus Oak Mountain triathlon by four minutes on Nov. 6 at Oak Mountain State Park.
Meadows, 54, finished the course at the state park in 3:12:26. He won the swim stage in 1:38, the bike stage in 1:18 and was fourth in the run stage in one hour.
Phillip Morgan, 33, of Waynesville, N.C. was second in 3:16:36. Brett Adair, 52, of Birmingham, was third in 3:17:36.
Lisa Becht, 36, of Chattanooga, was first in the women’s division and 11th overall. She finished in 4:20. Alynn Lecznar, 32, of Atlanta, was second in 6:01:49.

Other Oak Mountain Events
Cassidy Romans, 26, of Huntsville, finished third in the women’s division of the 25K trail run in 3:41:37. Benton Parrish, 21, of Birmingham won the overall in 2:50:42.
Michael McWalters, 52, of Saint Johns, Fla., won the sprint course tri in 1:35:32.
Hiboombe Haamankuli, 40, of Birmingham, won the 10K trail run in 1:06:37.
Oak Mountain State Park is located in Pelham just south of Birmingham. It has more than 50 miles of trails in the 10,000-acre park and is a multi-sports attraction. The Motus series offered two off-road triathlon and two trail run distances.
