Stellar efforts in two trail ultras and a couple of 5K events highlight this week’s TVO Roundup as we ease into autumn and more events on the schedule.

Lake Yahou 50K
ANNISTON — Kristina Tudor of Weaver smoked the field to win the 3rd annual Lake Yahou 50K in a record time for the women’s division and fourth-best overall.
Tudor finished in 5:32:18, easily eclipsing the women’s record by more than 21 minutes. Her winning time also would be fourth-best in the men’s division. She won by more than 15 minutes.
Brian Presley of Boaz was third in 5:56:27, and Scott Winne of Boaz was fourth in 6:07:10. Scott Todd of Huntsville was 12th in 7:50:35. Emeterio Hernandez of Harvest finished 13th in 7:52:52.
Amber Mann of Decatur won the women’s division of the 10-mile race, finishing sixth in 2:05:42.

Arkansas Traveller 100
James Ebert of Huntsville finished third in the 33rd annual Arkansas Traveller 100, continuing his stellar year on the trails.
Ebert finished in 19:04:17. He was one of a handful of area runners who headed west of Little Rock into the Ouachita National Forest for the storied event.

Manitou 5K
MANITOU SPRINGS, Col. — Robert Youngren finished eighth in the Manitou 5K and claimed third-place honors in the Male Masters division.
Youngren, 50, of Owens Cross Roads, finished in 20:40:80.
Gann Faulkner, 15, of Decatur, was 90th in 28:44:04. Kathy Youngren, 50, of Owens Cross Roads, finished 166th in 35:50. The event had 313 official finishers.

Tiny Toes 5K
Emma Hardman of Huntsville cruised to the win in the 4th annual Tiny Toes 5K, which supports the Huntsville Pregnancy Resource Center.
Hardman finished in 17:48 to win by more than 20 seconds. Michael Loutzenheiser of Homewood was second in 18:11. Rocky Dorsett of Huntsville was third in 18:49.
