Whooooo, what a busy couple of weeks for runners, racers, bikers and fun-seekers! Summer finally is here and our TVO Roundup is loaded with results from folks getting it done from the Left Coast to the Moist Coast.
Yes, we said moist, because humidity is real in the Southeast and up the Atlantic coast. Real dang high, that is. Moist Coast isn’t a bad name. We may copyright that one for posterity. We’re even approaching two-shower days, and maybe those days like when George Costanza woefully said, “Eh, it wouldn’t take … I’m a human heat pump!”
Kramer’s suggestion for cold showers is a good idea. They work after a hot, steamy run, walk or ride. Don’t knock it until. you try it! We don’t have a cattle trough for cold plunge ice baths, either, but that might become a thing. Moist Coast summers are real.
Be sure to check out the TVO Calendar for upcoming events, including the four-run Wild Thangs trail series at Monte Sano State Park. These long- and short-course runs put on by Running Lane are super fun. A number of other road events, triathlons and more are on tap, too.
