USA Cycling Announces Team for 2026 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships

Twenty-eight athletes across multiple sport classes have been selected for the 2026 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships to be held in Huntsville.

The championships are set for September 4-7 at Cummings Research Park. Athletes from around the world will attend to compete for world titles. Huntsville successfully hosted a UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup in 2023. This is the city’s debut to host a UCI World Championship event.

“To compete for world titles and rainbow bands on home soil is a rare and special opportunity. We know the energy and support from the Huntsville community will provide an incredible backdrop for our athletes as they take on the world’s best,” said Chris Furber, USA Cycling’s Senior Director of Paracycling.

“Personally, I am honored and excited to be leading Team USA at my first World Championships with USA Cycling,” he added. “This team embodies the ambition, resilience and excellence that define our program, and we can’t wait to see what they can achieve this September.”

USA Cycling will field a team of 28 athletes — 9 women and 19 men — across all sport classes, including Handcycle (H1-5), Tricycle (T1-2), Cycle (C1-5), and Tandem (B1-3).
